Despite being without the suspended Jonathan Hood and Daniel Symmons, the unavailable Matt Beynon and Ellis Harris and the injured Josh Tobin we should still have come out of this game with at least a point. It didn't come down to the two keepers as we failed to put away numerous chances but their keeper made some smart saves while poor Connah Williams made two howlers to cost us two goals while the opening goal was a needless penalty conceded by Remi Whitelock.

We started well and Carl Payne was just beaten to the ball by the keeper following a through ball from Sam Nolan. Niall Lewis then blocked an attempted clearance to set up Callum Fleming but with Carl Payne in the centre he chose to shoot but straight at the keeper. Matt Doyle did well to block a goalbound Bryntirion shot with Connah Williams beaten. We should have gone ahead on the quarter hour, Carl Payne's shot was saved by the keeper and Callum Fleming picked up the rebound a couple of yards out but he hit the outside of the post with his shot. We then had a series of corners which caused Bryntirion problems and Remi Whitelock had a goalbound shot blocked. Both sides spurned chances but on 38 minutes we conceded a penalty, from a corner Connah Williams did well to punch the ball clear but the ref spotted Remi Whitelock bringing down an attacker and they scored with ease. In added on time Callum Fleming found Conor Harris but he shot wide from just inside the area.

Connah Williams made a god save from a Bryntirion attack and we played the ball wide right and the keeper made a good diving save to prevent an equaliser. Again we attacked and Callum Fleming shot wide from a favourable position, from the goal kick we again pressed forward but Niall Lewis shot over the bar. On the hour Bryntirion thought they were two up but the goal was disallowed for offside. Three minutes later however we presented them with a second, for some reason after taking the ball to the edge of the area Connah Williams didn't pick up the ball neither did he kick it clear and a Bryntirion forward knocked the ball into the empty net. Remi Whitelock headed a free kick onto the top of the crossbar and it looked as though it was one of those games where we wouldn't score. Then on 69 minutes Rory Healey went through and scored to give us a chance of a point. A Lido corner was headed by Remi Whitelock straight at the keeper then on 74 minutes we were 3-1 down when with no danger Connah Williams delayed his clearance kick and hit a Bryntirion attacker with the ball rebounding into the goal. By contrast the Bryntirion keeper did everything that was needed to save from Carl Payne, Remi Whitelock and James McEvoy to preserve the two goal lead.
